| | TailgatingTailgating Tips and Advice 1 Plan menu a day ahead of time. Keep it simple so there is less to be done at the party. Use plastic bags and disposable, plastic containers where possible. 2 Pack paper products (plates, napkins, towels, forks and spoons) the night before. Remember trash bags, water, towels, and baby wipes for clean up. 3 Use two coolers û one for drinks and ready-to-eat foods, and one for raw meats. Pack foods in reverse order so that the last ones packed will be the first ones used. 4 Dress warmly by layering clothing in case of a change in the weather. Use a windbreaker as an outer layer. In cold weather, donÆt forget a hat or headband to keep ears warm, and gloves or mittens. 5 Arrive 3 to 4 hours before game time. 6 Finding a good spot to park is essential. Parking at the end of a row can give you more partying space. 7 If your food is ready 1 to 2 hours before game time, you should have enough time to eat, clean up and find your seat in the stadium. 8 Bring folding chairs, blankets and other öcomfortö items. 9 Make sure to dress appropriately for several hours outdoors. If the weather is cold, remember itÆs important to keep your head, hands and feet warm. 10 Dispose of firewood or charcoal. Most stadiums have a designated place for hot ashes. Do not dump them in the trash bins. | |
